Assessing Water

In the 4 projects ‘AutoQSPR’, ‘LeWa’, ‘WaKu’, and ‘WatAs’, a manageable system of water assessment is being created.

ThWIC has set itself to expand the assessment criteria for water. A broader parameter diversity and true-to-life perspectives on water are prerequisites for a better water management and better water accounting.
In light of changes induced by climate, ThWIC is developing new quality indicators for water. This development is made possible by the unique connection of sociological research about water accounting and newly gathered data about water quality (see field of innovation ‘Analysing Water’). The ‘integrated water assessment’ created by ThWIC constitutes a manageable system of water assessment that is based on evidence from the natural sciences and embedded in society.
